Conclusions.
Advanced age can deter oncologists from choosing intensive cancer therapy, even if patients are
highly functional and lack comorbidities. Education on
tailoring cancer treatment and a greater use of comprehensive
geriatric assessment may reduce cancer undertreatment in the
geriatric population.
