International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS) 2016: Meeting report - Gynecologic Oncology

abstract

 The historic city of Lisbon, Portugal hosted the 16th Biennial Meeting of the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS 2016), October 29–31, 2016. Over 2500 attendees representing over 100 countries participated in the meeting, which successfully executed the tradition of previous IGCS meetings in showcasing the latest developments in clinical practice, research, and education in the care of women with gynecologic cancers. Since 1999, IGCS has recognized leadership within the specialty. This year, the IGCS Council expanded its recognition to recognize more members for their commitment and contributions to improve the lives of women with gynecologic cancers.
