Now, medical students are increasingly selected on the basis of possession of good social skills—many UK medical schools test prospective students' communication skills, and the USA is considering changing their entrance exam to test would-be students' attitudes. Further, teaching at medical school focuses on the legal, moral, and communication attributes that doctors are expected to have, and this focus continues into a doctor's training years.
