HRT Risk Holds Steady Based on Updated Review - in OB/Gyn, HRT from MedPage Today

systematic review of papers published since 2002 (post-WHI study) found that the risks of
hormone replacement therapy still outweighed any benefits in primary
prevention of chronic conditions.
- Point out that both estrogen
plus progestin and estrogen alone prevented fractures, but increased the
risk of stroke, thromboembolic events, gallbladder disease, and urinary
incontinence.
