"A
hypersensitivity reaction (HSR) attributed to platinum-based
chemotherapy is a relatively common occurrence. Hyperthermic
intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) potentially facilitates the safe
retreatment of platinum therapy following this complication. We describe
three ovarian cancer patients who were successfully retreated with
carboplatin via HIPEC following an HSR."
