Description
The world of reimbursement in the health care industry is changing at a breakneck pace—that which was known confidently in the past is gone and the future is uncertain. For that reason, obtaining up-to-date information regarding the changes that are taking place is essential and excellence in billing and coding is important in ensuring a viable practice both now and in the future. This workshop will focus intently on these topics, with a specific look at the unique issues that are part of the practice of gynecologic oncology.
Additional fee: $200 for SGO members and billing coders who work with an SGO member, $250 for non-members.

This 2016 SGO International Program will emphasize global gynecologic cancer epidemiology. Our goals are to identify geographic variations in the worldwide gynecologic cancer incidence with a particular emphasis on the burden of gynecologic cancers in low- and middle-income countries, the challenges of public health reporting, and examples of successful models for the development and implementation of reliable and accurate cancer registries. This program will include the presentation of oral and poster abstracts that address the above topics. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage authors in conversation during the poster viewing portion of the program. Description
Proactive Screening of High Risk Women for Gynecologic Cancers will focus on developing a program to evaluate women who have increased risk of developing gynecologic cancers. Components of program will include sessions on establishing a screening program for women at high risk, genetic counseling, specific gene mutations contributing to increased cancer risk, pharmacologic prevention and management, fertility preservation, prophylactic surgery, clinical trial participation, and discussing high risk status with your patients. Panel Discussion with all speakers and question and answer session will conclude program.
