Diagnostic accuracy of CT urography and visual assessment during ureterorenoscopy in upper tract urothelial carcinoma

abstract

Upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) is a rare condition, although the annual incidence is increasing, possibly as a result of improved diagnostic performance and higher survival rates in patients with bladder cancer. Research data and technical development achieved in the last decades have led to a shift in the guidelines of European Association of Urology (EAU) and American Urological Association for diagnosis and treatment of UTUC. Computed tomography urography (CTU) has become the imaging of choice for investigation.
