Following on from 2015, in which the Japanese Journal of Clinical Oncology’s Impact Factor rose above 2 for the first time and we received a record number of new submissions, 2016 was a relatively
quiet year for the journal in terms of news to report.
Domestic and international submissions remained steady in almost all cases except for a significant decrease in submissions
from China. Of course JJCO welcomes
high-quality submissions from all countries around the world, but along
with some excellent papers that we have
been very proud to publish, the dramatically
increasing number of submissions from China in recent years had
unfortunately
brought with it a large number of speculative
submissions of papers that were clearly not within the scope of the
journal,
